BaseStack uses a few product terms that are helpful to know when reading guides or contacting support.

- Data Tree: the structured profile source that stores your identity, work, projects, skills, goals, photos, and links.
- AI operation: a generation, refinement, or supported parsing action that counts toward your plan limit.
- Draft: the private editable version of a site in your dashboard.
- Published page: the public version visitors can open through a BaseStack link or custom domain.
- Slug: the public URL ending after /s/, such as /s/jordan-product-designer.
- Vibe: the creative direction used for AI generation, such as clean, bold, editorial, or playful.
- Next.js export: a paid-plan export mode that returns project files instead of only HTML.
Draft and published page are different
Saving a draft keeps your work in the editor. Publishing updates what visitors see on the public URL.
