BaseStack help article
Export your site files
Download HTML or Next.js files and understand what is included in an export.
Overview
Exports let you take a copy of generated site files outside BaseStack. The exact files depend on the generation mode and your plan.
What exports are useful for
Key points
- Keeping a backup of a finished site.
- Handing the site to a developer for deeper customization.
- Inspecting generated HTML and assets.
- Starting a separate deployment workflow.
Before exporting
Steps
- Save the latest draft.
- Preview the site and replace obvious placeholder media or links.
- Check that public links and contact paths are correct.
- Export from the editor once the draft matches the version you want to keep.
Exports do not replace publishing
Downloading files gives you a local copy. Publishing controls the live BaseStack public page.
