Manage multiple Data Trees
Use separate profile trees for different audiences, roles, or site experiments.
Overview
Multiple Data Trees let you keep different profile versions without rewriting the same material over and over. For example, you might keep one tree for product roles and another for freelance consulting.
When to create another tree
Key points
- You want a recruiter-facing site and a client-facing site.
- You are testing different positioning for the same portfolio.
- You need a shorter public profile that omits older or private work.
- You manage separate identities, such as creative practice and engineering work.
Use the active tree carefully
Steps
- Open Data Tree and confirm which tree is active.
- Review the identity, projects, links, and photos for that audience.
- Generate or update the site only after the correct tree is active.
- Name trees clearly so you can identify them later from the dashboard.
Check before generating
If a generated site includes the wrong experience or links, confirm that the intended Data Tree was active when the site was created.
