BaseStack help article
Publish, share, and update your site
How BaseStack publishing works, including slugs, drafts, and updates.
Overview
Publishing turns a draft into a public BaseStack link. You can keep editing from the dashboard and publish updates when the site is ready to share again.
Publishing checklist
Steps
- Open the dashboard and choose the site you want to publish.
- Select Publish and enter a slug using lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens.
- Confirm the slug is available.
- Publish the site and open the public link to review it in a clean browser tab.
- After future edits, publish again to update what visitors see.
Why a public page may not look updated
Key points
- You saved an edit but did not publish the updated draft yet.
- The browser is showing a cached version. Refresh the public page.
- You are looking at a private preview link instead of the public slug link.
- The page was unpublished or the slug was changed.
Free plan note
Free sites include the BaseStack watermark. Pro and Studio plans hide it on published pages.
