Troubleshoot generation timeouts or failures
What to do when AI generation, refinement, or LinkedIn parsing fails.
Overview
AI requests can fail when source material is too large, account limits are reached, network requests time out, or the AI service returns an invalid response.
Try this first
Steps
- Check your remaining AI operations in Settings.
- Save the Data Tree and reload the page.
- Remove very large pasted sections, repeated content, or unnecessary photos.
- Try a shorter, more focused refinement prompt.
- Wait a minute and retry if the service may be temporarily busy.
When to contact support
Key points
- The same request fails repeatedly.
- An AI operation was counted but no usable result appeared.
- The error mentions account restrictions, plan limits, or feature flags.
- You can reproduce the failure with a specific prompt or site.
Include the request context
Send the site title, account email, approximate time, and whether the failed action was generation, refinement, or LinkedIn parsing.
